My daughter…a career woman, a wife and a mother to a 'smart ass' and two fat cats... Daisy & Fluffy. She’s petite and looks so fragile...but looks can be deceiving! She could break your neck in seconds...
Today she’s flying off to Philadelphia for a seminar. It’s sad that she have to go there during Ramadan and miss the breakfast with her family. The moment she reaches back, after such a long hour of flying...and it’s off to work again! Maybe she already got used to it. Sometimes I wonder how long she could cope! It must be hard...I have been there before! Ah...I guess she is still young and full of endurance!
She could just stay at home because her husband could well afford to feed those four mouths...but she chooses to work...egoist :))
I am happy that she is doing well but at the same time I am sad...we seldom spend times together anymore...most of the times we just talk over the phone :((
Well, I knew I am going to lose her the moment she got married...she has her own responsibility now. To think of it...I should be glad that she never burdens me with anything...not even to look after that 'smart ass'...my granddaughter :))
I wonder who is going to miss her most...her husband, her daughter or her two fat cats?...Fluffy especially!
I look at her pictures when she is still small and I wonder, where has this girl gone to? How I wish to hold that small girl again in my arms now :(( At the moment I only have my son with me...he too will leave me someday...or maybe I will leave him before he leaves me...nothing last forever!

SOME OF MY FAVORITE QUOTES BY RALPH WALDO EMERSON
- “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
- “Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you.”
- “The only way to have a friend is to be one.”
- “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
- “What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.”
- “Character is higher than intellect…a great soul will be strong to live as well as to think.”
- “Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”
Do you like any of these quotes? Which one do you like most? Let me know...

DON’T EVER FORGET!

Many Times In Our Lives We Are Dropped, Crumpled And Ground
Into The Dirt By The Decisions We Make And The Circumstances
That Come Our Way...We Feel As Though We Are Worthless!
But No Matter What Has Happened Or What Will Happen...
Even If You Have Lost Your Value...Dirty Or Clean, Crumpled Or Finely Creased...You Are Still Priceless To Those Who Love You...
The Worth Of Our Lives Comes Not In Just What We Do Or Who We Know...But By Who We Are!
Always Remember...You Are Special! Don’t Ever Forget It!
Dedicate To All My Precious Friends And Family Who Makes My Life More Colorful...Especially: Nini...Mahal Din Kita!
N.B: Nini Reyes has been restricted to a wheelchair for more than 20 years :((

HUMAN’S BEST FRIENDS...?
He's Just A Puppy & Yet So Huge!
He Just Followed Me Around...
If you're animal lovers...definitely you're fond of cats & dogs regardless whether they are purebred or not. Some people bought the purebred just to show-off and they abandoned their pets once it gets old or sick...so pathetic!
My pictures above with the dog were taken at Si Chiang Mai at the Laos border at one of my acquaintance home. He just followed me around wherever I go and yet he is not hungry, the owner was surprised because her dog seem so friendly toward me. I took his picture and posted it here so I will always remember him because I do not know if I could see him again. He must have grown much bigger now...I never thought that I’m going to miss him!
I believe that animals can sense whether we like them or not. I had a friend who was so afraid of dogs. She’ll run even without being chased the moment the dog approached her; naturally the dog sensed her fear and began chasing her!
Sometimes I wonder why some people don’t like animals at all, be it cats or dogs...worth still when there are psychos who loves to torture the animals brutally...
It is sad to read or hear the news about cats and dogs been mercilessly killed to obtain their meat or fur. Seeing the videos about it would brings tears to our eyes and yet to some heartless people, torturing and eating those helpless animals are just an everyday affair...how could they be so inhumane? Must they thrown the cats alive into the boiling water and skin them alive? Must they drag & torture the dogs by hitting it on the head with metal rod & electrocuted it to death to satisfy their lust and greed for something that they thought would give them power? How long do they expect to live? God will give them retribution…May they suffer in hell for eternity! There are so many other things to eat and yet it is still not enough for them! Why do they have to eat cats and dogs? They are so disgusting!

JAM OR BUTTER?
Traffic Jam At Tuas On Monday 11-08-08 :(
What happened to Mas Selamat? Where is he? Well, I really don't know...only God knows! Maybe he was already 'Selamat'...six feet underground like most people said! If I'm not mistaken, he has been missing for almost six months now. What really bothers me is the chaos at the checkpoint when I want to leave or enter S'pore...the traffic congestion is so unbearable!!!
Previously many people complained that the M’sian side was not efficient enough...but now what happened? I know that the 100% inspection at the S’pore checkpoint with all the thumbprint taken is just a security measures against terrorism etc. etc...However, it's too bad that the public have to go trough all the hassle just because of one person: Mas Selamat! His escaped has caused a lot of trouble not just for the government but also for the public. As for me, I find him as a nuisance more than a threat!
Until today, the traffic jam is still not getting better...sometimes even worse! Then again, if I were to talk more or complaint too much about it, I might get apprehended!
Well, I sincerely hope that I won’t get into any trouble with the authority just by voicing my frustration over this matter.

“MY OLD FLAME”

I woke up and looked at the time...it was almost 10.00am!
I said to myself, “He must be at the airport by now.” He’s leaving today & it’s kinda sad to think about it. Well, after all he was someone that I used to love...he was my old flame!
It was almost 37 years that we didn’t see each other. He was here from the 16th of July and we only talked over the phone, finally we met again on July 31st this year.
He grumbled that there was no ‘red carpet’ for him; he said that I couldn’t be bothered to see him even when he came all the way from the North Pole. Actually...I myself didn’t know why it takes so long for me to take the initiative to see him...
We were from the same school. Every time he passed by my classroom, I knew that he’d be waiting for me at the library...I’ll skip class for a while and run to see him. I could still remember until today his infectious smile...but we’re just not meant for each other.
Well, I can go on reminiscing...but for now, this old lady has to go...there are many other things to do...Ces’t la vie !
