IT WAS SO PAINFUL...

Went for my Mammogram & Pap Smear test today... for some it’s nothing but for me, it was such an unpleasant experience considering my first... I wouldn’t have gone for the Mammogram test in the first place if I knew it was so painful… I hope there’s nothing wrong with me. I’m scared now & I don’t know why...I just felt that there’s something wrong somewhere...sure hope I’m dead wrong about it! Please Allah has mercy on me...I know I’m not a good person.sedih

HE COULD STILL SMILE...

I am not sure why it took me so many months to start writing again.
Many things have happened but I seem to lose interest to write about it...until now. I have to force myself to do it...
Recently one of my close friends had a stroke...It’s quite scary actually...after all we are (my close friend, my hubby and me) almost at the same age group. Now he is undergoing therapy in S’pore.
I’m amazed that he could still smile and joke around when it hurts deep down inside. He hasn’t lost his sense of humor...he is really something! I guess that’s what I like about him most. No matter what...I pray that he will be getting better soon and that God will protect us all from getting this disease...Amen!
Please pray for him too!

WE ARE WHAT WE EAT...

Went for checkup a couple of month ago…everything seemed normal at that moment, no high blood pressure, no diabetes and my kidney is ok but sadly the doctor is not happy with my cholesterol level...so I'm on ‘Statin’ now.
I have not eaten Lasagna, Pizza or Sambal Goreng for a VERY LONG LONG times...I’m dying!nangih
I love fried chicken or anything of that sort but now I have to follow the doctor’s order. Standing at 5’2”… I’m considered overweight at 150lbs.
My hubby is not so lucky because he has diabetes but at least it was detected earlier…he doesn’t have hypertension though…now we have to monitor his blood glucose level within the range recommended by doctor using glucometer. Well…anyway who’s to blame? We are responsible of what happen to ourselves most of the time…we are what we eat! Now these two stubborn old goats just have to curb their appetite from eating whatever they want...sedih

TRUE LOVE DOES EXISTS!

When I read the story of Katie Kirkpatrick and her Bittersweet memory that happened a few years ago...I was touched by it because it shows that true love does exists and not just in fairy tales! But I guess guys like Nick Godwin is a 'Rare Kind' and hard to find...

Katie had chased cancer, once only to have it return...to clog her lungs and grab hold of her heart. Breathing was difficult, she had to use oxygen. The pain in her back was so intense it broke through the morphine that was supposed to act as a shield. Her organs were shutting down but it would not stop her from marrying Nick Godwin, 23, who was in love with Katie since 11th grade.

In the picture, Nick is waiting for her on one of the many sessions of Chemotherapy to end

No matter what happen, Katie is going along with her wedding and took care of every detail. The dress had to be adjusted a few times due to her constant weight loss. My heart would bleed if this is my daughter!

Sadly...Katie died five days after her wedding day.

Why are they powerful? So why are Muslims powerless?
Here's another reason. We have lost the capacity to produce knowledge.

o In the entire Muslim World (57 Muslim Countries) there are only 500 universities.
o In USA alone, 5,758 universities
o In India alone, 8,407 universities
o Not one university in the entire Islamic World features in the Top 500 Ranking Universities of the World
o Literacy in the Christian World 90%
o Literacy in the Muslim World 40%
o 15 Christian majority-countries, literacy rate 100%
o Muslim majority - countries , None
o 98% in Christian countries completed primary
o Only 50% in Muslim countries completed primary.
o 40% in Christian countries attended university
o In Muslim countries a dismal 2% attended.
o Muslim majority countries have 230 scientists per one million Muslims
o The USA has 5000 per million
o The Christian world 1000 technicians per million.
o Entire Arab World only 50 technicians per million.
o Muslim World spends on research/development 0.2% of GDP
o Christian World spends 5 % of GDP

Conclusion.
The Muslim World lacks the capacity to produce knowledge.
Another way of testing the degree of knowledge is the degree of diffusing knowledge.

o Pakistan 23 daily newspapers per 1000 citizens
o Singapore 460 per 1000 citizens.
o In UK book titles per million is 2000
o In Egypt book titles per million is only 17

Conclusion.
Muslim World is failing to diffuse knowledge
Applying Knowledge is another such test.
o Exports of high tech products from Pakistan is 0.9% of its exports.
o In Saudi Arabia is 0.2%
o Kuwait , Morocco and Algeria 0.3%
o Singapore alone is 68%

Conclusion.
Muslim World is failing to apply knowledge.

What do you conclude?
No need to tell…the figures are speaking themselves very loudly we are unable to listen

My Advice:
Please educate yourself and your children. always promote education, don't compromise on it, don't ignore your children's slightest misguidance from education (and please, for God's Sake, don't use your personal contacts or sources to promote your children in their education; if they fail, let them and make them learn to pass; b/c if they can't do it now, they can't ever).
We are World's biggest and strongest nation, all we need is to identify and explore ourselves. Our victory is with our knowledge, our creativity, our literacy...And nothing else.
Please Muslims....Wake up... Its not too late!

BEWARE...WORMS INSIDE ORANGE!

BEWARE OF ORANGES FROM CHINA.

FYI in case you are buying mandarin oranges.

Chinese New Year is drawing near. When buying Chinese oranges please beware of the worms inside.
These worms are very similar to the texture of the orange and therefore can only be seen if you observed carefully (long-sighted person may not notice)

The Chinese government had in fact made effort to destroy hundreds of tons of these oranges and compensate the farmers for these. However, some culprit may still sell it illegally. That is why we need to be careful. Whether the worms are harmful to the human body or not is still questionable. But generally if few numbers are consumed it should not make any harm according to doctors. It is advisable to be careful about it.

NEGATIVE ENERGIES...

I’ve visited some blogs and makes a few friends online. Some are so beautiful...not just the layout but the stories too.
I’m a very simple person who lead a simple life...I don’t really give a damn about politic and I tried my very best not to offend anybody. There are places where I’ve met some So-called “Very Intellectual Peoples” with so much negative energies in them. They are quite nice actually, but they swear and curse like nobodies business. Sometimes their language are very abusive and their jokes are very offensive. You’ll be amazed!hah
Well, I know they don’t mean any harm but I find it hard to swallow even it’s not directed to me. Nasty jokes can turn friends into enemy and that’s what I’m afraid of!sedih
By the way, that doesn’t mean that ‘I’m holier than thou’. Sometimes I love to use the four letters words too.
You wouldn’t believe how superb my vocab is!setan
However, I try my very best not to use it...
I guess, it’s much easier for us to just complain and keep on criticizing others rather than looking deep within ourselves to find our own faults...fikir
I would rather stay here in my sanctuary alone and do my craps. It’s much safer that way. Anyway, I don’t put up any advertisements to make money here, so I guess it’s OK even if only my family that comes to visit and no one else. It’s OK if nobody wants to comment...I don’t mind! I don’t want to hurt anybody and vice versa!

HOW I WISH...

Sometimes I’m afraid of my own feeling...
How I wish that I don’t give a damn about what happen around me...
How I wish that I could just close my eyes and turn my back instead...
How I wish that I could just shut my mouth from saying anything...
How I wish that I just don’t care!
But the love inside me for my friends and someone close to me just won’t subside...it just keep on flowing!
How I wish this feeling would die soon!

Sometimes I wonder...
Why should I bother if they are homeless?
Why should I bother if they get swindle and became a pauper?
Why should I bother if they or their pets get sick?
Why should I bother if they became destitute?
Why should I bother myself about these trifles matter?
What will become of them is none of my concern!
It’s their own fault...let them drown in their own sorrow!
How I wish I could just simply say... “GO TO HELL!”

WILL YOU PRAY FOR ME TOO?

Had a fall last Saturday on the 4th. October and went to A&E and had my x-ray done. Luckily, my eyesight is still OK and there's no double or blur vision despite the swollen and blue black. Last Monday (6th.October), I had to go for the follow up check up and today (8th.October) I went for my CT scan because the doctor suspected that the bone around my eye socket had a small cracked...if it was bad then I need to go for surgery...the doctor will let me know that next week...I am scared! I hope there's no more surgery for me...
For now, I just had to take my medications religiously and pray hard! Will you pray for me too? Pleasssse!

MY DAUGHTER…A SUPERWOMAN!

My daughter…a career woman, a wife and a mother to a 'smart ass' and two fat cats... Daisy & Fluffy. She’s petite and looks so fragile...but looks can be deceiving! She could break your neck in seconds...
Today she’s flying off to Philadelphia for a seminar. It’s sad that she have to go there during Ramadan and miss the breakfast with her family. The moment she reaches back, after such a long hour of flying...and it’s off to work again! Maybe she already got used to it. Sometimes I wonder how long she could cope! It must be hard...I have been there before! Ah...I guess she is still young and full of endurance!
She could just stay at home because her husband could well afford to feed those four mouths...but she chooses to work...egoist :))
I am happy that she is doing well but at the same time I am sad...we seldom spend times together anymore...most of the times we just talk over the phone :((
Well, I knew I am going to lose her the moment she got married...she has her own responsibility now. To think of it...I should be glad that she never burdens me with anything...not even to look after that 'smart ass'...my granddaughter :))
I wonder who is going to miss her most...her husband, her daughter or her two fat cats?...Fluffy especially!
I look at her pictures when she is still small and I wonder, where has this girl gone to? How I wish to hold that small girl again in my arms now :(( At the moment I only have my son with me...he too will leave me someday...or maybe I will leave him before he leaves me...nothing last forever!

JAM OR BUTTER?

Traffic Jam At Tuas On Monday 11-08-08 :(

What happened to Mas Selamat? Where is he? Well, I really don't know...only God knows! Maybe he was already 'Selamat'...six feet underground like most people said! If I'm not mistaken, he has been missing for almost six months now. What really bothers me is the chaos at the checkpoint when I want to leave or enter S'pore...the traffic congestion is so unbearable!!!
Previously many people complained that the M’sian side was not efficient enough...but now what happened? I know that the 100% inspection at the S’pore checkpoint with all the thumbprint taken is just a security measures against terrorism etc. etc...However, it's too bad that the public have to go trough all the hassle just because of one person: Mas Selamat! His escaped has caused a lot of trouble not just for the government but also for the public. As for me, I find him as a nuisance more than a threat!
Until today, the traffic jam is still not getting better...sometimes even worse! Then again, if I were to talk more or complaint too much about it, I might get apprehended!
Well, I sincerely hope that I won’t get into any trouble with the authority just by voicing my frustration over this matter.

BELACAN OF BELACAN!

My trip to Europe is coming up soon but I’m worried about the food. I’m going to miss the ‘sambal’ and rice…sure hope to get some Muslim food there that suit my taste. I'm 101% Malay you know!
I can’t survive for long without rice!
I’ll die without chilies...I'm going to miss the 'Blacan' most of all!

SCHOOL DAYS...

As I walked down the car park last Monday a voice called out my name. I turned to see and there I saw one of my old classmates calling me out as she started to wind down the window screen from the car. She could not stop because there's another car behind her, so I just smile, waved my hand and move on. I could still recognize her because we just had our school reunion about two years ago. Anyway, about a month ago, another old classmate had a wedding for his daughter and there I met some of my old school friends again.
Slowly I walked down to the supermarket and began to rekindle about the old days...

I recalled meeting some of the stuck - up 'smart - asses' during the reunion and at the wedding. It's a pity to see them keep on bragging about the past and yet they looked so pathetic now. I guess they had nothing better to tell because they really 'have nothing' now. Just as the Malay proverb says; "An empty can makes louder sound when you hit it."

Some of them are really doing well...some are such a pain in the ass, and these are the few that stagnant just like the "longkang water"...good for nothing except to breed mosquitoes. Well, no matter what, they are still my friends...Ces't la vie!

GOOD BYE SAM!

Put To Sleep On 04-04-08

I’ve been looking for Samantha these past few days but she’s nowhere to be found. Suzan SMS-ed & informed me that she has put Samantha to sleep because of kidney failure.

What made me felt so sad is that I didn’t have the chance to see her when she was still alive, at least I could hold her for the last time. Too bad that Suzan has taken her to the vet without letting me know about her condition first…it was only until too late!

The vet said that there’s possibility that she’s been poisoned,
Suzan & I knew darn well that she’s healthy despite her age…after all she’s only around 6years old. Everyone was surprised to find out that she has been put to sleep.
I just can’t control my tears the moment I held her…she’s still warm but motionless. Suddenly I felt a deep lost. No one will understand my feeling unless they are animal lovers or ever had a pet of their own.

May God punish the person who’d poison her if that was really the cause of her misery! Someone had cut off her long & beautiful tail before & she’s been kicked around and being abused so many times…I wonder how someone so cruel is fit enough to be called human? There’s no reason for anyone to hurt the animals just because they didn’t like it, just wait for God’s retribution…sooner or later they’re going to get it!

Despite the heartless around, you’re going to be missed by so many that love you…Good Bye Sam!
